Customer Consent and Phone Number Collection Process
How Customers Give Consent:
Customers give explicit consent to receive SMS messages from us through the following methods:
Webform – Customers opt in by entering their phone number into an online form and checking a box that acknowledges their consent to receive text messages.
In-Person or Over the Phone (Verbal Consent) – Customers are asked directly if they would like to receive updates or reminders via SMS. Their response is documented in their customer record.
Event or Service Registrations – When customers sign up for services, appointments, or events (e.g., via a digital form or paper registration), they are given the option to consent to SMS notifications.

When collecting consent, we provide the following disclosure:

Message Frequency:
Varies based on interaction, typically 1–4 messages per month
Frequency may increase during major events or campaigns
Opt-Out & Support Instructions:
To opt out at any time, users can text STOP
For help or more information, users can text HELP
Opt-out is immediate and respected across all systems
Where Data Is Stored:
Phone numbers and consent records are securely stored in one or more of the following:
Customer Account or CRM System (e.g., Church database or membership software)
Secure Patient File (if applicable in a health-related context)
Encrypted Internal Database used for communication tracking and audit
All data is managed in compliance with applicable data privacy laws (e.g., TCPA, GDPR, or HIPAA, depending on context).
